Fellside Methodist Church (Whickham)

Introduction

Welcome to Fellside Methodist Church situated in Whickham, a large village in which we share in good ecumenical relationships. Week by week and season by season there are various opportunities to meet and share with folk of all ages. Please speak to the duty stewards for further information about any or all of our activities.

If you have recently moved into the area, or are here on holiday visiting family, or if you have not been able to be with us in recent times please be assured of a warm welcome in the name of Jesus Christ.

Worship

We have two services each Sunday at 10.15am and 6.15pm.

Morning worship is contemporary with band and audio visuals, we share in All Age Worship on the first Sunday of the month to which our young families and children are very welcome, though of course everyone is very welcome at any service.

Our evening service is more traditional in style and perhaps of a more reflective nature and smaller in number.

Discipleship and Fellowship

Our discipleship and fellowship is worked out in various ways with House Bible study groups and fellowship groups held weekly in most cases. It is there in the company of friends and fellow travellers that we seek to develop our faith.

Community

We seek to serve the community through our weekly Day Centre where folk gather to share in a two course meal as well as fun and games and visits to places of interest and make the journey to us in the Community bus. We hold a monthly SHARE coffee morning where through coffee and cakes we seek  to support local and national charities,

A Craft Group meets monthly on a Friday evening  and all are welcome, even if you don’t consider yourself to be a craft person, folk are welcomed to share in coffee/tea and a chat.
